Wellness and Resilience for Women Veterans at Rose Haven

Women Veterans are often an overlooked population; while serving, as a veteran, and in the medical and civilian communities. Based on our concept of total life fitness, which promotes wellness and resilience we offer women veterans a dedicated space to feel safe, welcome, seen and heard. It is a space for them to create, move, and reflect while being surrounded by nature and those who support them. By providing opportunities for women Veterans to connect, either with other women veterans, successful community members, or a combination of both, there are an endless amount of opportunities for all involved to benefit from the space and services offered.

Women Veterans can enjoy our facilities in several ways (see activity event calendar for dates):

  • 1 and 2 day retreats- focus on art, yoga, crafting, journaling, gardening. All while allowing time and space for making meals, group time, individual time, and relaxation
  • Artist-in-residence program

Classes:

  • Yoga- ladies only, weekly
  • Pottery- bringing nature and creativity together
  • Stained glass- an exceptional outlet and skill
  • Painting- a relaxing way to express oneself
  • Woodworking/GRiT taking what is old and worn and turning it into something new and useful

  • Cookbook club
  • Creativity
  • Garden
